In a fit of idiocy, Microsoft does this to their silver account members.
I just love this quote: "This is not done to annoy our Silver members...."
That's precisely what they've done and by stating this, they know they have done it.
Before this update, downloading content as it became available was something that silver account members could do. Now they can't. Number 1 rule: don't take features away. It will just piss people off.
If they want to make gold membership worth it to people to sign up for, add features to the gold membership, don't take away features from silver and make them exclusive to gold.
Note, I already have a gold membership. This issue really doesn't affect me.
