I heard an interview with these authors on the radio. Their description of the positive aspects of role-playing for children was great. They talked at length about how kids play the roles in games like Grand Theft Auto, know that they were PRETENDING to be bad people instead of the misperception that the kids believe that the behavior they see in the game is acceptable in real life. They likened it to being in a play and having the role of the bad guy. Nice to have a little balance picked up by the media...
